What Parents Say

I met Bethany through a mutual friend who had also used her services. Bethany and I chatted on the phone a few weeks before I was due and we made plans for her to visit me in the postpartum unit when she was on shift at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. Her guidance in the hospital immediately following the birth of my daughter helped me feel confident in getting started on my breastfeeding journey. Once we got home, I realized we needed additional help so I scheduled her for a home visit — and let me tell you, that's the best decision I could have made. I was experiencing pain when breastfeeding and I could tell that my daughter was not receiving a full feeding. We were both constantly frustrated and I was fraying at the seams trying to figure it all out as a new mom. Bethany diagnosed my daughter with a tongue and lip tie which explained the trouble I was experiencing with her latch. I had my daughter's ties corrected per Bethany's recommendation and it made such a difference. Bethany came to my home again following the frenectomy and created an incredibly detailed, finely-tuned care plan for us.

In every interaction I had with Bethany, she showed us patience, compassion and understanding. I can truly say that I would have given up on breastfeeding had she not helped us. Today, my daughter gets full feedings from each nursing session and I feel confident and at ease with breastfeeding. Bethany brought so much peace to our whole family! She is worth every penny.
